  • Donica Covey

Donica Covey spent most of her childhood making up stories starring herself and the hunky actors of her time. From there blossomed a love of fiction. She makes her home in the middle of the Ozark Mountains in Arkansas surrounded by dogs, chickens, sheep, horses and a crippled duck. She's been blessed with a large loving family that includes a grown daughter and a grown son, daughter-in-law, and her beautiful Ulisi ageyutsas, Alyx, Rena and Lilith as well as a sogainisi, Sterling. When she can break the chains from her computer she can be found reading, hiking, enjoys long ATV rides, horseback riding, shooting and learning to can or hanging with her friends, the K&R Crew.

  • Donna Van Braswell

I am a retired software engineer and have traveled widely, including the sites of this novel. The biggest inspiration for the book was visiting the glorious Rhodes with friends, walking into the courtyard of the Palace of the Grand Master, and the offices of the knights on the second level.

I wasn’t able to visit Scotland until after the first draft was completed, but I had spent innumerable hours online researching each location I described. (Except for a tearoom, I made up. Guess what, they’re not on every corner!) I cried when I saw Dalkeith Castle standing tall and bleak before me. I walked around the building and viewed the library, remembering the funny things the women did, the students, the bad guy, and Aubrey—let’s not forget him!

I have done extensive study on the lives of Scottish lords and ladies, thus their descriptions of connections to the Knights Templar, the travel to Rhodes, and so many tiny details. I’ve researched the blockade of Rhodes by Suleiman the Magnificent, mafia activity in New York City, just to name a few. Can you guess doing so might have been the most fun?

  • Eagan Daniels

Eagan Daniels has a Master’s degree in Literature and a Bachelor’s in Photography. If there were such a thing as an advanced degree in fangirling, she would certainly have earned that, as well. Her interests include sports photography (but only hockey), live music, literature, and male musicians who wear eyeliner. She lives in Michigan but spends about half her time in her head with imaginary friends. Real-life has gifted her with a wonderful husband, two amazing children, three naughty dogs, an arrogant cat, and a small tortoise who bullies them all.

  • Eden Robins

I believe in second chances. I’ve been lucky enough to have a few in my life, and I know there’s powerful magic in seizing the moment to try again. It takes courage and heart to attempt it. Yet to not do it, to not grab that opportunity and run as hard and as fast as I can, is to give up on truly living. It’s to give up on hope.

I wrote Heart of a Warrior because I knew Pandora needed and deserved a second chance, as did the warrior who loved her. Both were at the mercy of the Gods. Both had little choice in how they lived their lives. What would happen if they had a second chance to live differently? How much would that be worth to them? What would they be willing to do and sacrifice for that opportunity?

There’s undeniable magic in living, loving, and experiencing life fully, no matter how messy it gets. Creating stories about people who boldly decide to dive into the mystery because they want to live and love true to themselves are the stories I want to write and will keep writing, for you and for me.

  • Eliot Baker

As an evil research assistant at Harvard Medical School, Eliot kept young people awake for 86 hours in a sleep deprivation study and spun old people around in NASA-designed rocket chairs in a brain blood-flow study. He wrote for the Harvard Health Letters and reported for the Nantucket Inquirer and Mirror, garnering several community journalism awards. Eliot Baker has a B.A. in World Literature from Pitzer College , a post-baccalaureate in premedical studies from Harvard Extension School , and an M.S. in Science Journalism from Boston University.

He currently teaches and runs a science editing business in Finland.

  • Elise Whyles

A bit of a wild child, Elise grew up surrounded by literature. From classical works to fantasy, she's had the pleasure of reading it, writing it, and exploring the creative side of writing.

Fearless in her writing, she creates worlds allowing readers to escape as well as experience relationships a bit less straitlaced and simple. Complexity and layers in her writing ensure she's always got a trick up her sleeve and the ink never dries.

  • Elizabeth Fisher

Elizabeth Fisher lives in east Tennessee and has deep Appalachian roots that involve all the usual elements—moonshine stills, horse thieving ancestors and rumors of illicit banjo pickin’. Fortunately, due to her father’s less felonious North Carolina heritage, Fisher makes an honest living as a freelance writer, editor and graphic designer. In her spare time, she reads, hikes and attempts to oil paint. She believes she’s making great strides in creatively incorporating the errant hairs of her cats—Buster, Buck and Bozo—into her still lifes. Her loving husband, Tim, is not so sure.

  • Elizabeth Fountain

in psychology and leadership. Her professional experiences as a counselor, instructor, university administrator, and failed barista contribute to her short and long fiction and creative non-fiction that finds the unintentional humor in everyday life. She loves books, movies, dogs, vegetarian food (yes, French fries are vegetarian), and aspires to live according to a line from singer/songwriter Chris Rea: every day, good luck comes in the strangest of ways.

  • Faith Cameron

I am a proud wife, overworked mom, and wicked stepmother to a lovely blended family. I hail from Upstate NY, but currently reside in southern Pennsylvania, while dreaming of someday putting down roots in Virginia. My favorite things in life include how to use the weather to cover awkward silent moments, avoiding housework, pretending laundry doesn’t exist, chocolate for breakfast, and cats.

  • Fenley Grant

Fenley Grant’s always loved the written word. In her youth, books traveled with her on family adventures to various Army bases. North Texas is home these days, where she lives with her husband, two human children, and two furry dog kids. A perfect day includes writing, reading, family, friends, and sunshine. No snow. After a long stint in the northern climes, she’s shoveled her last driveway.

Favorite books involve magical worlds, action, adventure, intrigue, and, of course, love. Fenley is an award-winning author of urban fantasy, time travel, and paranormal romances, and a 2019 Golden Heart ® finalist.

  • Gabriella Austen

After spending a lifetime traveling, romancing, and making all sorts of trouble for herself and others, Gabriella Austen decided it was time to write about her adventures and fictionalize them because fiction, unlike real life, usually has a happy ending and the heroines never gain weight. In addition to writing erotica, Gabriella writes sweet and naughty romances, and new adult love stories.

  • Glenn McCorkhill

Glenn was born and raised in Minnesota, but has made Colorado his home for many years. When he isn't out exploring the mountains, he spends his time writing.

  • Gwen Bright

When not found rescuing endangered sea turtles, Gwen Bright enjoys running marathons and the occasional Iron Man competition. Ha! Just kidding!

Gwen is a social media addict who loves long walks through the ice cream aisle at the grocery store and binge-watching T.V. She currently makes her home by the shores of Lake Erie, though she grew up on a small dairy farm in southern Ohio. She has a great many wonderful friends she considers her “found family”, as well as a loving and supportive biological family.

She has held a number of diverse jobs including: fry cook, educator, musician and minor league baseball representative. She is excited to add “author” to this list and can’t wait to hear from her readers! Gwen has loved stories of all stripes since she was a child, but romance has always held a special place in her heart. Gwen hopes that through her writing, readers will renew their faith in happily-ever-after.
