  • Audra Middleton

Audra Middleton was born and raised in Washington State where she lives with her husband and their three boys.  She left her teaching career to raise her children, and in between diaper changes and baseball games, she began writing books.

  • Bailey Thomas

As an only child, Bailey Thomas’ active imagination and adventurous nature always kept her busy. Now, she channels those creative powers into storytelling.

Her wonderful husband encouraged her to chase her dream of becoming an author and continues to be her greatest champion. Being able to write these stories has been a thrilling experience that is truly special to her.

Bailey lives in the beautiful but hot Southwest. When she’s not behind a computer working on her next deadline, she reads her favorite authors, spends time with her fur-babies, and if there’s a game on the television, she watches it.

  • Barbara Magoon

Barbara lives in Northern California with her husband Douglas John and their two autistic sons, whom they adore.

  • Barbara Russell

I’m an entomologist and a soil biologist, which is a fancy way to say that I dig in the dirt, looking for bugs. Nature and books have always been my passion. I was a kid when I read Ivanhoe by Sir W. Scott and fell in love with medieval novels. Then I discovered medieval fantasy, and I fell in love again.

In fact, I took it too seriously and believed that my elderly, bearded neighbor was Merlin and his black cat was Morgan le Fey. When I read Harry Potter and learned about Animagi, I knew I was right. Then I grew up and… nah, I’m joking. I didn’t grow up. Don’t grow up, folks! It’s a trap.

PS I hate gardening. There, I said it. Sorry fellow Kiwis.

  • C. B. London

C.B. London lives in Nova Scotia with her husband and two young boys. Her love affair with words began with poetry at a very young age. She still finds great inspiration in written work that has a rhythmic quality, a cadence to the words that beg to be read aloud.

When she’s not busy with her family or work, you can find her trying to avoid the endless chores of adulthood, curled up under a blanket (yes, even in the summer) with a cup of coffee, reading, or writing. She absolutely loves a rainy day! Romance always finds its way into whatever she’s writing, and almost always, whatever she’s reading. If there’s kissing, she’s in.

With degrees in Psychology and Sociology, she’s intrigued by the analysis of social interaction, particularly, attraction, falling in love, and the complexities of intimate relationships. As a contemporary romance and women’s fiction author, she explores these concepts while torturing her main characters as much as she can, still affording them a happily ever after at the end.

  • Caenys Kerr

Caenys (think Denise with a K) Kerr grew up in a household of mostly women who all enjoyed reading – mostly chain-reading romance. Books have been her escape, her inspiration, her sanity and her brain candy when she was writing her PhD. The university librarian dubbed them brain candy when she was entertained by Caenys’ foraging for romances rather than studying the current journals in her academic field of study.

Ideas for Caenys’ novels can come from anywhere. There was an occasion when Caenys and her husband, David, visited a French restaurant in Melbourne, Australia and enjoyed a delicious and distinctive pâté. The meal occurred soon after their return from a trip to Scotland where they’d visited Culloden. They’d been reminded of Scottish history, including attempts to engage the French to help the Scots ward off the English. The confluence of pâté, French, Scots, and Melbourne sparked an idea that became Cat and Lachie’s story, The Salignac Legacy.

Caenys lives (with David) by a canal on the southern end of Australia’s Gold Coast. She has two adult children (and their wonderful partners) and one precious, teenaged grandson.

  • Carde Jean

Carde began reading at the age of four and hasn’t stopped in over fifty-five years. At any time, she might be found with up to twelve books on her nightstand and one or two in her office or car in various stages of being read.

Carde began writing poetry in the sixth grade and moved on to fantasy when she was a young adult. Life happened, and after several years a young woman named Guinevere Griffin began whispering in her ear, telling Carde her story. Guin persisted in dreams, waking Carde up at all hours and forcing her to take notes.

Finally, in mid-2019, Carde took the hint, and her notes, and wrote the beginning of Guin’s story.

Carde lives with her husband and biggest cheerleader, Ray, in Hawai’i.

  • Caren Gallimore

Caren Gallimore, despite being born 133 years too late, lives in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains.

Her love for the Wild West began during a Girl Scout camp at an old Pony Express station in Utah. Her characters tend to write their own stories, and Caren is grateful to be asked to record them. She would prefer to do this during the day with a cup of coffee in hand instead of in the middle of the night or while in the shower. But, her characters follow their own timetable. Caren doesn’t always agree with her character’s decisions, but it all works out in the end.

Her passions beyond her family- are writing fiction as well as non-fiction, screen printing, long walk in the woods with her pup and illustrating life as she sees it.

Twice a year she travels south to the ocean and communicates with the mermaids who have their own stories to tell.

  • Carol McPhee

As a child and teenager, I put myself into dreamland at night through images visualized in stories I told myself. Little did I suspect this pattern would follow me much later in life when our four children had grown and flown into their own storied lives. The numerous tales I developed gave me great joy and amazement. Their romantic themes carried me through happy times and especially through times of serious health issues. With great appreciation, I thank Champagne Books for their many years of support.

  • Carole Ann Moleti

Carole Ann Moleti lives and works as a nurse-midwife in New York City, thus explaining her fascination with all things paranormal, urban fantasy, and space opera. Her nonfiction focuses on health care, politics, and women's issues. But her first love is writing science fiction and fantasy because walking through walls is less painful than running into them.

Boulevard of Bad Spells and Broken Dreams was inspired by her life, and her life's work, as she roamed the streets of The Bronx as it has morphed from an emblem of urban blight to a vibrant and ethnically diverse borough in New York City.

Her short stories have been featured in the Ten Tales Series: Haunted, Seers, and Beltane, and Bites, as well as in Hell's Kitties, Hell's Mall, and Hell's Heart. Carole has also authored The Unfinished Business series of Cape Cod paranormal romance novels: Breakwater Beach, The Widow's Walk, and Storm Watch.

Excerpts of her memoirs, ranging from sweet and sentimental to edgy and irreverent, have been published in a variety of literary venues. Carole was awarded the Oasis Journal award for best nonfiction in 2009. She has also contributed to the award-winning feminist anthologies Shifts and Impact.

  • Cass Scotka

The adventure of a new book and the comfort of an old favorite are two of her most cherished pleasures. When she's not writing, this military brat turned military wife explores the world with her husband and two kids. She loves chocolate, the Texas Longhorns, and the Oxford comma.

  • Cathy Coburn

Cathy Coburn has always had a flair for scare, with a great sense of adventure.  From jumping out of planes, scuba diving the depths of the oceans, to zip-lining thousands of feet over rain forests. There has never been any stopping her…  Much to her mother's dismay at times.

Her need for adventure, or insanity (as some call it), seeps into all her books, both in what she reads and in her writing. Her biggest thrill is when someone says one of her books gave them nightmares. That’s when she knows she has done her job well, as that is always her intention.

Ruby was a book Cathy loved to write as it was centered around her hometown of Lakeside, California. "I know people are going to love the book Ruby and be… Absolutely blown away!”

If you ever thought you couldn’t be terrified by an eight-year-old, you are in for the shock of your life.
