  • Sofia Sawyer

When Sofia Sawyer’s fifth-grade teacher handed her a journal, encouraging her to keep writing, she vowed she always would. A lifelong storyteller, Sofia writes contemporary romances featuring independent women who take charge of their destinies.

Based in Charleston, S.C., she follows her wanderlust whenever she can to new and exciting places, often finding story ideas throughout her travels.

When she isn’t reading, writing, or jet-setting across the globe, you can find Sofia playing with her dog, taking advantage of the amazing Charleston restaurant scene, hiking, or hanging at the beach.

  • Stephen Frame

Stephen Frame lives in the far north of Scotland. At an impressionable age, he picked up the first issue of the galaxy’s greatest comic, 2000AD, which is as much explanation as he’s giving for everything that happened next. Always keen on anything with elves or robots or both, if you held some kind of antiquated weapon to his throat, he’d allow that his writing leans towards quirky and features ordinary janes and joes cast into the storm of the extraordinary. With his debut novel, “The Festival of Hungry Ghosts”, you’re invited to walk with the big bad wolf, as he deals with monsters, mystery, romance, hangovers, and donuts while working as a private eye on the mean streets of 1930s Los Angeles.

  • Sue Yaden

Sue Wright Yaden is a Southern writer from Kentucky who made a wonderful discovery when she was a child: reading books and writing stories. These activities mushroomed into a permanent place in her life.

Her first publications include magazine articles and two resource books for teachers. She is heralding her debut into fiction with the novel, Harmony Is Overrated, a novel that mixes mystery and love in a post-Civil War setting. An avid reader of historical romances, Sue credits her love for the genre as her writing inspiration.

Sue holds an M.A. in Education, has taught in public schools and college, and has worked in the field of public relations.

When writing historical romances, her desire is to give her readers an authentic setting filled with unique characters. The kernels of her stories are romance, adventure, and humor. The flagship of her writing goals is presenting strong, can-do women in every novel.

Today, her busy schedule revolves around writing, two daughters, her husband, and twin kittens, Angel and Snowball, recently adopted from a shelter. They’re destined to give her a run for her money. Sue’s love for cats resulted in including Miss Fluff in her first novel.

  • Susan Frances

Born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in eastern Long Island, Susan Frances always enjoyed writing. Influenced by such writers as Colleen McCullough and Sidney Sheldon, she began writing short stories and poetry in high school. After graduating from New York University with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Frances tried her hand at a number of conventional jobs but always returned to writing. Since 1998, she has been a freelance writer and has contributed hundreds of articles to various e-zines on the Web. Today, she resides in New York State and is thrilled that life has given her a chance to be an Aunt to the best nieces and nephews she could ever imagine.

  • Suzanne Berget

Suzanne is a games journalist, comic book seller and an all-round geek based in Oslo, Norway. When she’s not playing video games or ploughing through her massive TBR pile (too many books, too little time), you can find her sewing pockets into her skirts and dresses.

Let Slip the Beasts is her first novel, and it’s a story that’s been with her for as long as she can remember. The book is heavily influenced by her love for video games, comic books and action movies. Their badass heroines in particular! From Commander Shepard to Laura Kinney to Sarah Connor and beyond. She hopes Kallie will one day join their ranks.

Suzanne has experience with both martial arts and competitive shooting (albeit brief), and learned a lot about injuries in her five years in the Norwegian Red Cross Youth, and has used this knowledge to craft the fights and action sequences in Let Slip the Beasts.

She’s currently working on the sequel, which promises to be bigger, better and brutaler (that’s definitely a word, yes).

  • T. C. Correy

Born in Switzerland, T.C.Correy always felt strangely drawn to Australia. From a young age, she wrote short stories but inspired by a TV series, her first novel based Down Under gave T.C. the perfect excuse to head for the land of Kangaroos and Koalas, which she now calls home.

With barely enough English to get by—let alone Aussie slang—she gathered enough material during her adventurous solo trip traveling the Outback to write an entire book, but it was thrillers she suddenly grew an undying passion for.

Tackling the new country, T.C. didn’t shy away from teaching herself proper English, and since then, under the watchful eye of her beloved Mini Foxy, she’s completed four thrillers, though oddly enough, they’re based in San Diego. During the day working in hospitality in one of Australia’s top destinations, at night she’s like a sponge and researches facts for her thrillers—no matter the topic—though leaves enough conspiracy for everyone’s mind. Her science thriller, IF ONLY HE NEVER, is the first (but not the last) of her books to be published.

  • T. K. Glasskot

I look around me and see people who seem to be isolated, unconnected. An epidemic of loneliness? Aloneness?

I’m in a settled relationship (the old-fashioned word is marriage) but my heart goes out to those who can’t connect. So, story-wise, I started thinking—what if a couple people, both of whom were so deeply hurt they were close to giving up on love, sensed the possibility of connecting with one another?

And what if, like so many people today, their dedication to profession so exhausted them, they have neither the time nor energy to pursue that possibility? Until—and under life-threatening circumstances—they realize they can’t give up, that a little spark can become a fire.

  • Taylor Koleber

Taylor Koleber grew up in a forgotten corner of the world in Tasmania, Australia. A hopeless romantic with a goofy side, his stories often involve cute banter, wholesome romance, comedic shenanigans, and women finding their voices with emotionally intelligent men to support them. Newly married, one may blame his wife for the romance novels he now reads and writes voraciously. He and his family reside in Texas.

  • Teresa Howard

Teresa Howard is a retired teacher, author, and time traveler. She is a science fiction author with a passion for genealogy, or a genealogist with a passion for writing science fiction. You decide. These seemingly opposing passions bring her characters from the ancient past to the distant future. Many of her stories feature both. In her novel, The Reluctant Empress, she blends heredity and bloodlines into a futuristic coming of age tale where DNA and paternity are keys to resolving the conflict. She lives in Hoover, Al, but her home is wherever her characters are.

  • Vicky Walklate

Vicky Walklate lives in the beautiful county of Norfolk, UK, with her husband, two children, madcap dog and diva cat. She loves romance, folklore, historical fiction, and all things fantasy.

She simply can’t get enough of the ‘enemies to lovers’ and ‘close proximity’ tropes. Writing Sacrifice gave her the opportunity to combine them, research some wonderful folklore and create the realm of Jothesia. She can’t wait to write more about it. And if you’re wondering where the name came from, she was struggling to come up with one and venting her frustration to her family when she realized the answer was staring her in the face, literally. Son Jonah – Jo, daughter Thea, the, husband Simon, si, combined with the last letter of Vicky’s full name, a… And just like that, the vent was averted, the family sighed in relief, and the realm of Jothesia was named.
