Highland Gold

Set in 17th century Scotland, Blaine MacKinnon, the MacKinnon’s middle son is a devilishly handsome warrior with a roguish reputation.  The confirmed bachelor is in a bit of a pickle when his actions offend a feuding clan. Blaine's older brother, the clan chieftain, has to negotiate a truce by paying a substantial restitution.  Blaine's troubles don’t stop there.

Tired of his reckless lifestyle, his brother commands Blaine to wed within the month. To assure that he complies, the king is informed that his highly sought after knight is in the market for a wife.

As the marital noose tightens, Blaine is desperate to find a way to either avoid getting married or at least delay the shackles until he finds the woman he wishes to marry. Fate intervenes when he meets the beautiful Jocelyn MacAulay who he persuades to help him.  She must convince everyone, including the king, that they are betrothed and in love.

But Jocelyn has her reasons to help this handsome knight, and little does she realize her life will tangle with his in a way she is not prepared for. Through a twist of events, a long-lost secret is revealed, and Blaine and Joslyn realize their paths were destined to cross.
